Red Cascading Begonia is a compact plant that forms small, crimson-colored blooms in spades. Flowers shoot skywards and spill over container sides, creating a fully-rounded shape. Thriving in the shade, this one, with blooms in true fire engine red, is a real knockout. (Begonia)

Beautiful and prolific

"I started these in indoors in the spring and they seemed very slow to start. 2 of 3 sprouted so when late May came ( last frost) I planted those two plus the unsprouted tuber plus another begonia I bought as I worried about these 3 tubers not being enough plus two other annual pants for this window box ( shade all but 1-2 hours of overhead sun per day) . Once they started, they became very prolific. Even the tuber that never started indoors grew. When I dug the tubers up in the fall, they were about 4-5x the original size. I have overwintered but not sure if I will be successful. I do plan on starting indoors again despite the hassle of taking care of watering. I do best with automatic watering. :)"

Gorgeous!

"The red begonia was new for me this year. It quickly became as large and impressive as the apricot one I grew last summer and held over the winter. It flowered by early July. Unfortunately, a heavy rainstorm caused the main stem to break off. The plant is growing new branches from below the break, but the magnificent flower display is over for the year. I would recommend supporting it somehow when it becomes really large."

Absolutely gorgeous!

"I have received many compliments on this hanging basket. The color is vibrant and really rich. One comment was that it was a color never seen before. . . lush growth and continuous flowering. I loved this and will try to keep the bulbs through the winter and restart next spring."
