Thrilled with our wildflowers who

"Thrilled with our wildflowers who shipped in their air tight package waited for our rain storms to cease. They terminated within one week and we are all excited to see them grow and flourish."

Amazingly Beautiful Flowers!

"I purchased this because it was originally called California Proven Wildflower Seed Mix - the ""Proven"" was what my kids and I were relying on. We were happily shocked by the profusion of flowers that rapidly appeared, and by how tall many of the flowers have grown. It is riotously beautiful. Birds and butterflies are daily visitors. Thank you, I'm ordering more."

Disappointed with results

"I have only had 4 small plants show up at this point after 3 months. i am hoping some more will show up in the fall when the weather cools down again."

Autumn Update

"I wrote a review 3 months ago because I am so in love with my meadow and want to share an autumn update. Now that my meadow has mostly gone to seed, it still has many attractive qualities. I have never seen so many and such a variety of caterpillars and other insects making their home in my suburban yard. I'm sure this will lead to more butterflies in the spring. Some of the seed heads are beautiful to look at and attract all sorts of birds. I included a photo of some Pine Siskins feasting on the seeds of the Evening Primrose. I didn't expect to still get so much pleasure from my meadow now that the blooms have faded."

A Wildlife Magnet

"This wildflower mix attracts plenty of insects and animals! Our meadow is buzzing with bees, bumblebees and butterflies. In the past, we've only had the occasional butterfly, but now we see butterflies most days. Our resident hummingbird frequently visits the Evening Primrose and Baby Snapdragons. We saw White Crowned Sparrows pulling the fluffy seed heads out of spent Cornflowers. As seen in the photo, our Pacific Tree Frogs made themselves right at home. In addition to all of the wildlife, the meadow has high visual impact for little cost and effort. We have spent hundreds of dollars buying plants for our yard at the nursery. For a fraction of the price we now have literally hundreds of flowers in our meadow. Visitors to our garden are amazed by the sea of beautiful, colorful flowers. Little do they know that the meadow is much less work than other types of gardening. No pruning, deadheading, watering (once established) or fertilizing needed! Our meadow is small, about 11 x 18 feet (we bought the 1/2 pound size and had plenty of seed) and in partial shade. It does flower more in the full sun areas. The meadow is two years old and still has many flowers blooming. We will gladly purchase more seeds to refresh the meadow, if necessary, in the future. Our meadow has added pleasure and joy to our lives. Thank you American Meadows for making such an excellent product!"

Love it. Recommend it.

"My husband wanted a meadow on our property for our daughter's wedding. We sowed this seed, and it is perfect. It started blooming about a month ago and every week we get a new color and texture. We've had unexpected delights coming up since mid-spring, and we love it. It was easy to sow and doesn't take a lot of care. The video we watched about how to grow this meadow was spot on and easy to follow."

Gorgeous in acidic sun-shade location under pine trees

"I have a relatively sunny area under a couple of pine trees - ground covered with pine needles. I spread this mix under the trees mid-December and by mid-April couldn't see the ground because of the huge number of wildflowers that grew - many different varieties in the mix came up. I can verify that the Pacific Northwest mix works well in acidic soil (up to 1 inch of rotting pine needles under pine trees) in San Francisco bay area. I live very near the bay in a cooler, moister microclimate than much of SF area. I've uploaded of photo of an area that is protected with a deer fence. I've not been as lucky outside the deer fence with deer constantly nibbling at the plants. . ."
