20-24" tall x 4-8" wide. Ping Pong Allium hits a home run with fuzzy white globe-like flowers. Lighting up the early summer garden, the 2" flowers add a touch of whimsy to a flower bed, and a favorite stop for bumblebees, honeybees, butterflies and other native pollinators. Easy-care and pest resistant, just plant them in compost-enriched, well-drained soil in a full sun location. As Alliums are naturally resistant to animal browsing, some gardeners interplant Allium throughout the garden to protect other more vulnerable plants. At 20-24" tall, 'Ping Pong' is lovely planted with Delphinium, Veronica, Salvia, Peonies and other early summer bulbs. They make great cut flowers, or leave them in the garden where their gradually drying spheres contribute fantastic shapes. Touched by snow, they are even more magical! Let the green sword-shaped leaves wilt naturally before removing. Once established Allium is a drought-tolerant plant that will form clumps of beautiful flowers each year.

If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. "I'm accustomed to larger alliums so these smaller plants are a treat. Ping Pong perfectly describes the size of these blooms, which provide great late-spring pops of white amongst the dark green, yet-to-bloom perennials. The first blooms appeared at the beginning of June and they continue to hang on three weeks later. At 12 inches, the plants are smaller than listed on the card, but that may have more to do with the very late planting date (December 23rd) than the plant itself. I'll be interested in seeing how large they come back next year. Check back for updates!"
