Candlelight Dutch Crocus offers a softer take on early spring color, opening pale lavender blooms gently infused with cool purple tones. Each delicate flower catches the light with a subtle glow, creating a soothing, almost ethereal presence at ground level. It is the kind of bloom that invites a closer look, rewarding early spring wanderers with quiet beauty.
Among the first to flower, Candlelight arrives just as winter begins to loosen its grip, bringing fresh color to lawns, borders, and garden edges. Its low-growing habit makes it ideal for naturalizing in grassy areas or weaving through perennial beds, where it forms soft, spreading drifts over time. The effect is relaxed, cohesive, and beautifully meadow-like.
This Dutch crocus is as easygoing as it is elegant. Bulbs are low-maintenance, quick to multiply, and well-suited to a range of conditions, thriving in well-drained soil and sunny to partially shaded spaces. Early blooms also provide a valuable nectar source for pollinators, helping support bees at the very start of the season.
Plant in fall and enjoy a gentle wave of color come spring, soft, serene, and full of quiet charm.
