(16-18" tall) 'Strong Gold' Triumph Tulip warms the garden with sunny yellow blooms mid-spring. Complements other spring-blooming flowers from red tulips to white narcissus and purple hyacinths. Plant bulbs in large groups for a powerful display. Triumph tulips are hybrids between single early and single late tulips, resulting in a mid-season bloomer with strong stems and exceptional weather tolerance. This group includes the greatest variety of tulips colors, but bulbs bloom for only a few years. Extend their life by removing spent flowers as soon as they fade, and leave foliage in place to die back naturally. Hardy in zones 3 to 8, tulips are easy to grow in well-drained soils on sunny sites. Avoid soggy soils as tulips do not like to get their toes wet. Triumph tulips are excellent for forcing indoors.

"These beauties were the last to open of all my tulips. They are shorty's but I anticipated that in order to achieve the layered effect I was going for. These to me are more like "traditional" tulips the blooms where long and narrow and the yellow color was brilliant. Will definitely by more."
