Simply Dazzling!

"Last year I sowed a patch of Spring into Summer in a field at my parents' home, admittedly later in the spring than I would have liked (I believe it was early June). The showing was small but expected. This year to my surprise, a huge wave of this Dwarf Helenium cropped up, which has delighted my dad and my mom's honey bees. They're gorgeous, cheerful, and everything I could have possibly wished for. The distinctive centers and petals bring a smile to my face every time I see them."

Wonderful, reliable, so underrated, zero maintenance in Ks

"This is one of my favorites. Another review said moderate water- but even less/little to zero water has been my experience. I have a gravel driveway and it comes up year after year in a spot by my gate. Last year I gave it a shot of water when i thought it could use it but other than that shot, I never watered it. I wish more people knew about this plant. It never looks bad. Am attempting to grow it in mass (3x4 rock bed) this year since I collected seed . But it will also just reseed. I don't think it's invasive. It's such a sweet little flower. I can't believe it sprouts in my gravel rocks. Going to also try to grow it as a cover in my wild flower bed by a busy road. It's incredibly drought tolerant. I'm in Kansas. It gets pretty hot. Idk how it would do in southern states with extreme heat, though. The leaves are feathery and wispy and bright green. Flowers last forever. I can't get enough of this flower. Lots of bees."

bright, reliable and easy

"love this little plant! Early to bloom, gets full early on. Excellent in border and so easy to grow from seed. Also unusual, won't find it (for awhile at least) in a big box and probably local nursery. Full sun, average water."
