Add bold, bright color to a shady spot in your garden with our Astilbe Mix. 'Deutschland' Astilbe's pure white plumes are lovely in the moonlight, 'Montgomery' Astilbe has feathery, magenta-crimson blooms and 'Rheinland' Astilbe adds graceful pink plumes to illuminate the shade garden. Also known as False Spirea, our Astilbe Mixture is deer resistant and amazingly easy to grow. Make sure to plant extra, as these blooms make for gorgeous summer bouquets and last all year long if dried. Astilbe makes a bold statement on their own or paired with other shade-loving perennials, such as Hostas and Columbines.

Two of five came up

"I planted five, according to instructions, all under the same large tree last spring. Only two came up but did not flower. I hoping for blooms this spring as both have already come back nicely. However no results from 3 of 5 is a pretty poor return."

Astible Mix — phenomenal results!

"I'd never planted bare roots prior to purchasing these astilbes because I'm an impatient gardener. I thought I'd have to wait too long for results but was in for a great surprise. The plants flourished in the second season with fabulous fernlike foliage and then the third year gave their greatest performance with showstopping waves of colorful plumes. Now they are fully mature and have filled a large area so well that I no longer need to mulch!"

Astilbe adds color and texture

"The astilbe tubers arrived in good condition and started to grow above ground within days. I love the colors and heartiness of this ornamental plant. It looks fabulous in flower arrangements, but this first year or two I will let it grow and not disturb it. Looking forward to it not only beautifying the yard but my indoor home as well!"

Good for beginners

"Nice plant. As someone who doesn't know much about outdoor gardening, these were easy. Although the blooms were small, the foliage is nice."

My Astilbe blooming

"Planted my Astilbe about 3 years ago, they are spreading, getting bigger and more beautiful 😍 every year."

I would buy again

"I ordered two packs of these (10 bare roots total) and planted them as soon as I got them in the early spring. They all sprang up quickly and two of them even bloomed which I was surprised to see in the first season of planting. I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy again. My only con for this is it wasn't labeled which bare root was for which so I won't know if I ended up planting the same color next to each other until they all bloom hopefully next year but this is just me being nit-picky."

Growing and looking great

"All the bare roots are growing nicely, some plants are even beginning to flower. I'm excited to see which colors and varieties I received--the mystery is part of the fun. I'm pleased with my Astilbe Mix purchase and look forward to watching these grow!"

Exciting to grow

"Received healthy roots and planted them right away in a mostly shady (dappled morning sun) area. They are growing fast! I'm curious to see what varieties I received, but that's part of the mystery. It's been really fun to watch these astilbe grow!"

"All the roots have grown up to be lovely plants and they are starting to bloom."
