For a burst of sweet color and fragrance, ‘Sugar Buzz® Bubblegum Blast’ Bee Balm features a dome of deep pink flowers bursting off the end of every well-branched stem. Its versatile compact form will be covered with bubblegum pink blooms perched atop upright stems, cradled by deep green leaves with a minty, herbal fragrance. This disease resistant cultivar is easy to grow, and a beautiful addition to a pollinator-friendly garden or container planting.

‘Sugar Buzz® Bubblegum Blast’ Bee Balm (Monarda Sugar Buzz® 'Bubblegum Blast' PP27497) is one of the Sugar Buzz® series of Bee Balms (Monarda). Sugar Buzz® Bee Balm cultivars have been developed for good resistance to powdery mildew and a non-aggressive habit. In early summer, their fragrant foliage is covered with textural 2-inch flowers that attract all kinds of pollinators – from bees, to butterflies, to hummingbirds. Plant Sugar Buzz® Bee Balm in moist to average soils in a sunny spot for best bloom. For another chance at botanical beauty, deadhead the first flush of blooms to create side shoots for more blooms to grow. Leave the seed heads standing in fall and winter to provide food for birds, and cut down in the early spring. Bee Balm has a wide native range in North America. Consider using with smaller native grasses for a textured border. Deer resistant.

Healthy Plant

"I picked up this plant because I LOVE the Pink Lace Bee Balm I got from American Meadows a couple years ago. It came in healthy and has grown nicely in the area. I have not seen blooms this year but that is only becuase my husband ran it over with the lawn mower! It recovered quickly and has lots of amazing growth and I can not wait to see it bloom in next year."
