'Big Bang™ Polaris' Coreopsis is an easy-care garden workhorse bread for larger flowers that practically does it all. Drought tolerant once established, this hardy native plant will grow to 20-24" tall and gently spread to 15-18" wide. In addition to supporting butterflies and bees, Coreopsis attracts sparrows, chickadees, finches, and other seed-eating birds to the seeds that form throughout the season. With its ability to spread, Coreopsis a great meadow or wildscape choice. Simply pull unwanted sprouts to keep things tidy, or pot some up for friends. Plant it in average soil with good drainage in a sunny location. Plant with other summer bloomers such as Echinacea, Penstemon, Salvia, and Agastache for a colorful, easy-care pollinator garden. "I use these coreopsis at the outside edge of a curved border. I was looking for a red, white, & blue combination for 4th of July. These are on the outside edge with petite red Knock Out roses next and finally the inside has Walker's Deep Blue Catmint."
