‘Butterfly Kisses’ coneflower is a compact perennial perfect for containers, butterfly gardens, and landscape plantings. Flowers emerge with lime green centers that mature into pink puffy pincushions. It blooms throughout the summer, adding bright color to patio pots or perennial gardens. This showstopper is also deer-resistant. (Echinacea purpurea)

Description

12-18" tall x 12-18" wide. Echinacea purpurea ‘Butterfly Kisses’ is ideal for small gardens, patio pots, and anywhere you want a pop of long-lasting, easy-care color. Plants grow best in full sun in average to moist, but well-drained soil. They don’t do well in any sort of standing water. Drought-tolerant once established. Because they’re deer-resistant, these plants are great when planted en masse in outer lying areas of the yard where deer browse damage is worst. Deadhead to prolong bloom. Flowers are long-lasting in bouquets. Leave seedheads to stand during the winter as food for wildlife and cut back the previous season’s growth in spring.
