'Mars Magic’ Hollyhock bears single, bright red blooms with beautiful yellow centers on tall, stately stalks. Perfect for the garden's back row, blooms appear from bottom to top starting in mid summer. Description

Mars Magic’s single, romantic blooms create a truly stunning statement in the summer months.

Everybody loves Hollyhocks--tall beauties that create tremendous color wherever they grow. They quickly create spires of flowers up to 5 or 6 feet.

These old-fashioned plants are famous for being biennial which means they bloom their second year from seed. Hollyhocks are a perennial, but are considered a short lived perennial, sometimes referred to as biennial. Biennial means that while the original plant may not comeback, the seeds that are dropped from the flowers in the prior season self seed themselves.

Hollyhocks are great for the back of the border, and also as a blooming screen for unsightly views or other things you'd like to hide with beautiful flowers all summer long.
