Orchid Frost Lamium is growing more and more popular every year. Perhaps they haven't been known widely since their old common name is Dead Nettle. But they're extremely useful in the garden, since they thrive and bloom beautifully in shade. Great for covering the ground in woodland or other shady gardens.

The base of the stem(s) should be just at the soil surface after watering in
"It was WAY overgrown as was evident in the packaging, but once I got them untangled, they planted up nicely and SURVIVED! They have even bloomed again since planting and look nicely in the stone wall area that they are planted in. This is a limited, shady area which was the reason for planting in this location."

Great Ground Cover for Shade
"We tried several different varieties of Lamium, but this one has spread most effectively and has been the most hardy for our clay/silt neutral PH soil, Zone 7a. Use as a ground cover under trees to help keep weeds down. Some weeds still pop through, but most are blocked out when the cover gets thick enough to block light."

Orchid lamium
"They came healthy and well packed. They are spreading just the way I'd hoped to fill in the area I'd bought them for. We have had abnormal amounts of rain here but they are doing well. Very happy"
— Kathy (5/5)
Pretty and spreading quickly
"Beautiful contrast of frosty foliage and purple flowers. My three yearling plants are doing battle with violets and seem to be winning. I'm hoping they will continue to take over a large area."
— Liz (5/5)
Terrible experience!
"I ordered a total of 36 plants. Four were essentially dead when I received them and 9 were in very poor shape. Of the 36 plants only 3 have survived. I have picturesbb. I thought I was getting a good deal by ordering in bulk. Instead, this turned out to be a big waste of money. Needless to say, I am not a happy customer."

are these edible i read somewhere they are can u make tinctu
"I wanted this hoping its good for tea and tinctures can't find any info on this"
— Zoe (5/5)
Not all survived, some arrived withered and almost dead
"I ordered 16 of these. When they arrived 4 were quite withered. I watered them immediately and planted them all the next day. The 4 that arrived withered did not make it. The rest seem to be doing all right. I am hoping that the surviving plants will fill in the blank spots where the dead plants were planted."
