'Provence' Lavender is a tall, aromatic variety with abundant slender blooms. Famed for its scent, 'Provence' is a favorite among soapmakers and dried flower arrangers. It's a prolific producer, sending up multiple flowers on its bushy plants that attract and support bees and butterflies. Heat-loving and drought-tolerant, 'Provence' has been known to withstand some bouts of humidity. Deer resistant.

"Planted with three other American Meadows lavenders. In our Missouri clay, I dug out a 12" hole 15" deep for each plant. It is filled with 40% sand, 40% pea gravel, and 20% soil over a layer of 1" pebbles. This gave the necessary drainage to make the plant thrive in a humid area. I also gave plenty of room around the plants and placed them where there is ample sun and wind."
