"One is alive but one dead"
A true Appalachian treasure, Cumberland Rosemary blends rugged resilience with understated elegance. This native shrub forms neat, low-growing mounds of aromatic, needle-like foliage, releasing a gentle herbal fragrance when brushed. In spring, it surprises with dainty pink blooms that flutter like woodland confetti.
Ideal for dry, rocky sites and well-drained slopes, this tough yet tidy evergreen spreads slowly, creating calm, cohesive textures in naturalized landscapes.
Native to the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee and Kentucky, the wild species is considered threatened due to habitat loss. Its ecological value is high, providing critical support for native pollinators and wildlife.
Whether you're crafting a wild-inspired garden or restoring a dry hillside, Cumberland Rosemary grounds the space with history, fragrance, and quiet charm.
