"This plant got off to a slow start, but it’s perking up nicely now."
"I use it in my garden planting for clients as its very hardy, long lasting and provides lots of color."
"I planted these three at the same time, in the same manner within 2 feet of one another, and one died immediately. The other two are small and not prospering."
"I just started a new garden, and this yarrow sat on my sunny front porch for a week waiting to be planted. I kept the soil moist, in the container the plant was shipped in, and it did great. It's been planted in the new garden for about three weeks, and it's already beginning to bloom. I did not think I would have flowers until next season, but this yarrow is ready to grow! Impressive plant health and quality."
"I have used this product in my new front garden area. It is colorful and neat meaning it doesn't splay but remains upright because it's more compact."
"Really enjoying this. Beautiful."
"Beautiful rose/pink/light red giving an every changing shade of rose. Straight, upright stems. Used leaves to stop bleeding from a glass cut on my finger (immediate results!)."
"I purchased this plant because I had a credit for something that arrived in poor condition. What a wonderful surprise! The Vintage Rose Yarrow grew so beautifully in my garden. It's invasive in a good way - so healthy and green. The foliage itself is beautiful, fern-like in structure. We've had several days of below freezing weather, and my yarrow is still green, and the flowers still pink. The four plants I bought spread beautifully, and I will move two of them to other areas of the garden next spring. They stood up to our crazy Kansas weather, over 100 degrees for a few weeks, too much rain, and an early cold snap. I would recommend them to everyone that wants a plant to fill an area quickly, and beautifully."
"Love the color and easy care."
About the Yarrows. The Achillea tribe are plants of dry, gritty areas, and do not like soil that is too moist or rich. Give yours plenty of drainage.
The fore-runners of these beautiful hybrids have one of the richest histories in the plant world. Long thought of as a magical plant, yarrows history goes back to Roman times, when it was thought useful in healing warrior wounds. The name Achillea is from Achilles, and the fateful wound of his heel. But it doesn't stop there. Witchcraft and all sorts of magical potions are associated with this plant.
The basic wildflower, Achillea millefolium, has a grayish-white bloom with deep green ferny foliage.
