How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Begonias thrive in the shade and bloom all summer long, adding lavish color to shady spots. Plant begonias in containers amongst low-growing perennials, beneath the tree canopy, or hang along your porch rails and relax among the colorful flowers. These beauties produce huge, colorful blooms. Tuberous begonias are hardy in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones (1-7), they can be grown as annuals or brought indoors during winter. For earlier, larger blooms, start plants indoors and bring outside after the danger of frost has passed. Keep an eye on soil moisture in containers, as begonias like a moist humid environment. While begonias thrive in containers, they can be planted in the garden in rich, well-drained soil, in full to partial shade.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"I absolutely loved the Pink Delight Begonia! The flowers are an incredible, vibrant pink color that really pop in my container garden, and the leaves are equally impressive with their gorgeous pink and green hues—especially the underside, which adds an extra layer of beauty. I live in an area with a lot of deer, and I was thrilled to see that they had zero interest in these plants. I planted the begonia on the north side of my house, which didn't get a lot of direct sunlight. Because of that, the plant didn't develop the double blooms it's known for, but even with single blooms, the flowers were still beautiful. A quick tip: if you're looking for those signature double blooms, make sure you give it plenty of light, or at least more than I did! I also planted the Samba Pastel Begonia Mix on the east side of my home, and those did get the double blooms, so I'm fairly confident the single blooms were due to the lack of sunlight. One small disappointment was that the Pink Delight wasn't especially fragrant, but even with that, I would still absolutely purchase again. It's such a vibrant and deer-resistant addition to my property!"
"Though the product description stated that these begonias were fragrant, the few flowers that sprouted were not fragrant."
