'Happy SingleĀ® First Love' Single Dahlia is a stunning cultivar with flowers and foliage that will attract the gaze of gardeners and pollinators alike. Dahlias in the Happy SingleĀ® series feature very dark foliage that contrasts with saturated flower colors to stand out in the garden. Single flowers feature broad petals around a golden yellow center, favored by bees and butterflies thanks to the easy access to nectar and pollen. Happy SingleĀ® Dahlias are compact, meaning no staking is needed, and making them a good fit for containers and small gardens. Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once they begin to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade.
