Spectacular, multi-colored blooms add beautiful color to the summer garden or meadow. Wild Sweet William grows in sandy, clay or loamy soil conditions and grows to be about 12-24” tall, making it an extremely versatile variety. This variety is easy to grow and the colorful blooms make for fabulous summer bouquets. All of the seed we handle at American Meadows is non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free and guaranteed to grow. Biennial.

Non-native plant

"I ordered a variety of wildflower seeds for a patch. I naively assumed American Meadows would sell native seeds, or at least indicate seeds are non-native. While this isn't a banned invasive species like the Dame's Rocket they also sell, it is not a native plant so not a good fit for growing native wildflower patches. It is very pretty and came in well in the second year. It's not overwhelming other plants. I probably won't pull them as I have been with the Dame's Rocket."

Excellent healthy seeds that grow like crazy!!

"First off no one would be sorry to include these in their garden forever! With the ability to buy seeds here in bulk at a reasonable price makes my spirit shine! American Meadows is at the top of my list for superior products and customer service❤️❤️❤️"

Great assortment of colors and patterns!

"These are such an interesting and versatile flower. So many color shades and patterns randomly bloom. I have so many neighbors commenting on the sweet Williams!"

Can't miss bloomer!

"Plant now for color starting next season and beyond! Very easy to grow in partial shade to sunny. Blooms late spring even in northern climates, gone by mid-August. Long-lasting cut flowers. Naturalizes and multiplies each year. No maintenance required."

Worth the Biennial Wait

"Easy to plan on top of Daffodils where other plants will not grow. So many neighbors recall the plant and bloom from gardens they remember. Mine need to be reseeded each year, a very small price to pay."

Great luck with these in NH

"I have several well-kept flowers gardens. But there is a part of my yard that I leave wild. (no raking, etc. ) I call this my woodland garden. I have a stone path going through it. Every couple years I throw (by hand) the Sweet William seeds in my woodland garden. They come up the following year and are an absolute pleasure. They pop up every where and add color for several weeks."

Sweet William Seeds

"I like to plant Sweet William as the flowers are so colorful. Unfortunately, I planted them late -- could not find the seeds readily here in stores in my area -- so they are yet to bloom, but are growing nicely."

Easy to grow

"I sprinkle the seeds on bear ground in shady areas and they make a magnificent ground cover that's green even in the winter. Fragrant, delicate flowers. Able to withstand some foot traffic. Very low growing. Good for alternative lawn in areas not able to be mowed. A++++"

What a gorgeous way to do things.

"They are put all over the yard. I love the different colors and the fragrance is so sweet. Love to watch the little bees and birds."
