Our Western Native Grass Seed Mixture is comprised of seven low-water, low-maintenance grasses that are native to the Western United States. It includes Indian Rice Grass (Oryzopsis hymenoides), Idaho Fescue (Festuca idahoensis), Prairie Junegrass (Koeleria macrantha), Galleta Grass (Peuraphis jamesii), Sandberg Bluegrass (Poa secunda), Bluebunch Wheatgrass (Pseudoroegneria spicata), and Alkali Sacaton (Sporobolus airoides). This mixture is designed for Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, Eastern Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Eastern Washington and Wyoming.

"I planted two springs ago a 1 foot wide, 15 foot long Y shaped band adjacent to the same Y shape of a line of pavers. I've been very pleased with the growth. I thought they may have died after the first season but they just hibernated quickly and bounced back the next spring. I planted the seed too densely; had I been more sparing I think there would be taller growth at this point."
