"The seed package of Zinnia "Swizzle Cherry & Ivory" (order # 3686864) I received only had eight seeds, with one of those broken in half. The seeds are a beautiful, shiny gold color so I wondered if I was only sent seven seeds (not counting the broken one) because these zinnia seeds are literally worth their weight in gold. Even though the number of seeds per package is abysmal, all seven that I directly sowed in the ground germinated. So while it is highly disturbing to have paid essentially $1 per seed, I am extremely pleased with the germination rate."
"Only sent 10 seeds for over 7 dollars. What a rip off. Same thing with the Isabelina variety. AM got cheap. The seed bags used to be cloth and they're plastic now. Been buying our flower farm seed from AM for 5 years."
"Maybe 6 seeds found in my packet…. Unbelievably sad."
"This packet contained about 18 seeds. Wanting to ensure I got as many plants as possible, I started each seed in a soil block and then transfered the 6" plants to the garden. The Swizzles grew at a slower pace than some of my other zinnia varieties but they were worth the wait! Now, mid-July, my plants are full and healthy. Their short stature makes them best for a border or exterior edge of a large planting. I clustered mine in groups of 3 throughout the garden. Highly recommend; will buy more of these seeds again for next year."
