Timing, Shipping Method, and Email Confirmations

As soon as your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email. We ship with either FedEx or USPS, depending on weight and address. Seed packets ship within 48 hours. Due to current circumstances, Wildflower seeds are shipping in 5-7 days. Plants and bulbs are packaged separately from seeds, and ship at the proper planting time for your zone. You will receive a shipping confirmation email the day your order ships, with  tracking information.

If your order requires more than one shipment, and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge.

Shipping Schedule for Promotional & Event Seed Packets

All orders for Ready-To-Ship Packets placed before 2PM EST will ship the same day via Free Ground Shipping. Any orders received after 2PM will ship next business day. Orders received on Saturday & Sunday will ship promptly on Monday.


Shipping Schedule for Wildflower Seeds 

Due to current circumstances, wildflower seed orders are shipping in 5-7 days.

Shipping Schedule for Spring-Planted Bulbs and Perennials

Shipping begins in March, starting with the warmest zones first. See the chart below for the anticipated shipping date for your region. This estimated timetable is based on ground temperature, and may vary in season. Orders for Ornamental Grasses and Elephant Ears will start shipping the week of April 6th, 2020.

Shipping Schedule for Amaryllis and Paperwhites

We begin shipping Amaryllis and Paperwhites to all zones in mid October.

Amaryllis and Paperwhites will ship separately, starting in October, after they arrive from our growers in Holland. Plant these bulbs as soon as they arrive for holiday blooms!

We sell Bearded Irises two times of year, both as potted plants with our perennials in spring, and also as bareroot later in the year, shipping alone in August. If you order bareroot selections, they will ship separately during August when they arrive from our US growers, and should be planted as soon as they arrive.

Your credit card is charged when you place your order through our secure servers to reserve your order, as has been traditional in the mail-order business for many years. Your advance order allows us to plan the plants and bulbs we need with our perennial nurseries and Dutch bulb growers.

Ordering From Canada

Wildflower Seeds and Flower Seed Packets may be shipped to Canada.
We've been shipping wildflower seeds to our gardening friends in Canada for over 30 years! Agriculture Canada maintains a list of certain species that we cannot ship, and our systems will catch those orders before they are charged. Certain orders may require inspection and documentation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We primarily ship to Canada via U.S. Postal / Canada Post and transit times vary by province. Live Plants and Bulbs cannot be shipped outside the US.
The United States Department of Agriculture does not permit shipping of live plants or bulbs to any foreign country, including Canada. (For Alaska and Hawaii, see below.)

Special Instructions For Shipping To Alaska Or Hawaii

Live Plants and Bulbs cannot be shipped outside the US. The United States Department of Agriculture does not permit shipping of live plants or bulbs outside the continental US. We can ship wildflower seeds, seed packets, and hard goods to Alaska and Hawaii.

Live Plants and Bulbs cannot be shipped outside the US. The United States Department of Agriculture does not permit shipping of live plants or bulbs to any foreign country, including Canada.
