How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
(18-22" tall) 'Salmon Van Eijk' Darwin Tulips are excellent for growing in the garden or potting in containers. Pairs beautifully with the darker hues of 'Orange Van Eijk' Darwin Tulip. Darwin tulips are prized for their big blooms and brilliant color. They tend to bloom for several years, making a great choice for perennializing in garden beds. Extend the life of bulbs by deadheading flowers as they fade and leaving foliage in place after blooming, allowing it to die back naturally to replenish energy reserves in the bulbs to power next year's blooms. Hardy in zones 3 through 8, tulips require a well-drained soil to prevent bulbs from rotting during dormancy. Plant in full to partial sun.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"We had people stopping in front of our home to take pictures because these tulips absolutely showed off for Spring! I am ordering more and planting wherever I have room, lol. I cannot get enough of these gorgeous tulips!"
"Love them! They are beautiful & I get lots of compliments from the neighbors. The squirrels did eat around 15 of my bulbs, but the rest are gorgeous!"
"I like the little bit of frilly edges on these tulips. They are hardy and are blooming as of late April in southeastern Wisconsin. However, based on the pictures I was expecting more of a dusty/pale rose/pink kind of color. They have grown into more of a peachy-pink color."
"I am pleasantly surprised by these. When the blossoms first open they look more salmony, but as they age they change to a silvery pink with pale violet wash on the petal exterior. It's quite lovely, not a harsh pink but subtle and nuanced. The blooms are large and cup-shaped, they don't seem to open as wide as some other varieties I've grown, but maybe they will do that as they age more. They have held up to wind and rain and make a nice statement in the landscape. The color looks great with Ronaldo, but as I mentioned in the Ronaldo review, those blooms are quite small and the difference between the 2 varieties makes the combo look a bit off."
"I planted 4 different Tulips together. This color is definitely the standout. It is a gorgeous salmon, unlike any tulip I've ever seen"
"I put these in pots with Ronaldo Triumph, and the result exceeded my cautious hopes (first time trying tulips). I love the color and shape of these, to me they are perfection."
"One of the prettiest Darwin tulips out there. I bought these last fall and I could not be happier with their display this spring!"
"They're plump, beautiful, and receiving a steady flow of compliments from passers by."
"All 25 bulbs came up and bloomed. It was quite a journey watching them grow and mature. The initial bloom is more of an apricot orange them matures to that beautiful pink and lasts for weeks. Going on 3 weeks of beautiful blooms still. They are tall the stems with bloom and foliage. I didn't realize tulips came in varying heights I would believe these are the tallest. 18 inches is accurate. There were one or two that were slightly shorter but still taller than other varieties."
