Getting its name from large, Peony-like blooms, this gorgeous double Tulip adds dramatic color to the late spring garden with deep purple blooms. Bonus: Purple Peony’s blooms are also sweetly fragrant!
Double Late Tulips are one of the most spectacular Tulips available. The flowers have so many petals that their more common name is Peony Tulips. Double Late Tulips bloom in the late spring season and are very long lasting; they even often bloom well into early summer.

Poisonous or Toxic to Animals
Yes - Bulbs, blooms, leaves, and stems all contain toxic compounds, which are most concentrated in the bulb.
"I planted these bulbs in a variety of places- raised beds, pots, and scattered. They came up beautifully and were incredibly beautiful. I cut some and they did well in a vase for several days. I am what I call a 'reluctant gardener'- I still call it yard work- because everything is on me to do, but these tulips brought me great joy and notched up my interest. I feel like I won the SWEEPSTAKES!"

Stunning!!
"I planted these last fall, and they just started blooming. I was a little worried about them because we had a really bad cold snap that's unusual for where I am (zone 8a). They have come up and are super healthy. When they fully open at midday, they are breathtaking. I'm so glad I planted these!"
