How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Not to be confused with the even larger bearded or German iris that bloom in late spring, these beauties are early spring flowers, and the bulbs are planted in fall just like daffodils and tulips.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"I believe I bought a bag of 20 bulbs and planted in small groups. I only had 1 bloom. It is beautiful but 1/20 is not a success."
"I used them along a fence behind a tulip planting. I was shocked to see the green shoots emerging in late December (in zone 8b). They grew up much more slender than I envisioned and unfortunately got pretty beat up by the wind. Waited (im)patiently for them to finally bloom toward late April just as the tulips were ending. Very stricking bold blue. They got maybe 20" high at most. I think they're pretty as a border but would really shine in a mass planting."
"I had such high hopes for these iris bulbs based on reviews. I planted timely. 3 of 12 began to break through—then all died. So disappointed. Meanwhile, I have other Iris bulbs from another company and they're huge and thriving."
"This is the prettiest Dutch Iris I have ever seen. It's absolutely beautiful - a vibrant shade of purple that makes such a statement in my Spring garden. Just a word of caution - the stalks look like scallions at first and you may think it isn't going to bloom and then all of a sudden it blooms. I'll be planting more this fall."
"An exceptionally beautiful iris with sapphire blue blooms. The leaves grow tight to the stem giving them a nice appearance and the blooms look just like orchids!"
"I planted them last fall, and now they started blooming! I saw 16 flowering buds out of 20 bulbs, so the germination rate is 80%, which I am very happy with. I so love its classy royal blue color and noble looking! To add more color to my front yard, I am going to order the mixed color combo for next year. In my opinion, the Dutch Irises are easier to grow than the German kind."
"Stunning sapphire blue color with little splashes of yellow. I planted these bulbs last fall in zone 5 and when they came up they looked like scallions. I didn't think they would bloom. Then suddenly they developed buds and bloomed in mid May. I'm going to order more."
"All bulbs came up. Bloomed right after the tulips passed over. Flowers lasted a long time."
"We planted in clumps and the flowers were gorgeous together"
"The color on these is just out of this world bright bright blue! I cannot wait until they multiply. Love them! :)"
