Whispering Dream Lily-Flowered Tulip produces some of the largest Tulip blooms, with stunning white and pink cups reaching over five inches long. The fluted blooms open mid- to late-spring, shifting from an ivory white base to vivid pink at the tips. The pink color deepens with age on these long-lasting blooms. Beloved as a cut flower for bouquets and arrangements. (Tulipa ‘Whispering Dream’)

Description

18-20” tall x 3-6” wide. The spectacular blooms of Whispering Dream Lily-Flowered Tulip (Tulipa ‘Whispering Dream’) are worth shouting about, with over-sized petals bursting in vibrant color. Lily-Flowered Tulips are defined by their slender vase-like form and pointed petals. The petals close at night and open with the warming sun, recurving slightly to produce a star shape when viewed from above. These elegant blooms have thin stems and dance with the breeze. Plant them in a location sheltered from strong winds. Create a striking display by planting Whispering Dream in large groups of ten or more bulbs. Like other Tulips, Whispering Dream performs best with full sun (at least six hours) and well-drained soils. Deadhead spent blooms, but allow the foliage to mature and die back naturally to encourage another year of blooms.
