Vivid blue bell-shaped flowers emerge in early spring, sometimes even through the snow. This little wildflower easily naturalizes in woodlands and looks great around trees and shrubs. Pair with other early spring-blooming bulbs like snow crocus, snowdrops, and early-blooming daffodils. (Scilla siberica)

Much more purple than pictured

"I was expecting a brilliant blue color, like in the pictures to go with a color scheme I had planned, but nope, its more purple/dark blue than the lighter blue color that is shown in the picture. Had this problem before with A. M. It was a little bit disappointing."

Very satisfied with Blue Squill

"My landscaper is using these as a border to define an area."

Squirrels' Favorite

"Planted this fall along with tulip and daffodil bulbs. Within days they were dug up and, I'm guessing, devoured by my squirrel friends. Other bulbs untouched. So, if you love squirrels, buy this bulb!"

Love these little flowers!

"These little flowers are one of the first to wake up in spring, sometimes poking right through the snow! I've had them for a few years and they come back strong each time."

Perfect.

"Planted in the fall and they popped up, first thing in the spring. Beautiful flowers and honey bees bring in the most beautiful royal blue pollen from them."

Beautiful, rabbit resistant alternative to Crocuses

"I ordered these bulbs because they were advertised as rabbit resistant. Rabbits and squirrels dug up and ate every crocus I planted the year before. These bulbs arrived in time for planting, were healthy, and all survived the winter. They put up very pretty, deep blue/purple flowers that, though not as big or showy as crocuses, added a very nice color accent to the borders of my garden in the early spring. Best of all, though the rabbits did eat the leaves, neither they nor the squirrels dug up and ate the bubls. I would recommend ording several packages and planting them in clumps. I must commend American Meadows for their commitment to customer service and to their guaranty. Ordering plants on-line, expecially bare root plants, can be a dicey proposition, expecially when you are ordering different or unusual varieties. American Meadows has never failed to make good on its commitment to replace products that, for whatever reason, do not survive. I would recommend their products without hesitation, and will continue to shop from them as I continue to expand and enhance my garden space."

These did fine

"These looked nice on their first spring. Unfortunately, the companion bulbs (fritillaria, crocus, and snowdrops) never made an appearance, so they looked pretty lonely. I planted 30 of these bulbs and over half grew and flowered."

Beautiful flower to bring us into spring

"As I am just learning about gardening. I chose these as they reminded me of my childhood. That being said - I wish I had planted multiple bulbs in the same space for a more dramatic look. ( Live and learn), other than this they were very simple to plant and are very low maintenance"

Beautiful

"So exciting to see the pop of color in early spring!"

Vivid lolors and all bloomed

"I always wanted to have them in my garden as they reminded me my childhood when I picked them for bouquets in the woods. They all showed up and each had a stem with buds. Right now 4 of them are in bloom and more are coming. They are the first flowers blooming in the season, which really makes you feel that the spring is around the corner."
