"On a creek in city limits and am creating a rain garden/deer pass-thru! Hope to feed a variety of clover, vetch, and grasses to keep them off my berries, beans and apples. AND improve the diversity of pollinators!😍"
"I followed the directions precisely from the package sowing once, waiting several weeks and then sowing again. Not a single germination of any sort beyond flourishing weeds and other invasive local plants. Deeply disappointed."
"We purchased 1. 5 pounds of the Bluestem seed summer of 2020 & planted later than recommended based on the planting instructions. After 5 weeks (normal gestational period), stragglers of grass appeared. However, we tested the elements by planting later than the July recommendations. Anticipate that the area we planted will eventually thrive based on the grass that has grown. Determined to have a carefree Bluestem area near our new shop, so purchased another pound of seed to add to the existing area. This time, we'll be totally within the recommended planting period. Honestly, if grass grew planted in early September, I imagine it will flourish planting now with the summer to help it thrive."
"I purchased 50 acres of land last year and have about 2 acres that were clear cut and barren. I am trying to restore natural habitat for wildlife, so picked little bluestem as one of the grasses to add. Instead of broad casting seed, I used my seed and grew individual pots of little bluestem and have transplanted them onto my land. I was very happy with the germination of the seed and so far all of my transplants are growing on what was barren soil."
"This turned out really nice"
"Using it in with the wildflower seeds to define the borders of our 3 acres."
"Creating a natural no-mow zone around our property. Great color."
