Big, beautiful, not as dark as expected - zone 6A
"Very large blooms (7-9 inches), 3-4 per plant, were a bit brighter than the colors in the product description. More of a dark pink, rather than burgundy or chocolate. Flowers face slightly upward, but kind of perpendicular to the stem. Not fully sky-facing, but definitely not downward-facing. Strong stems about 30 in high - no supports necessary. I planted these bulbs in spring '22 and they bloomed around mid-July. This first year, they didn't reach their full height yet, but I'm looking forward to taller plants this year. Not sure why the color is off, maybe the soil. Some bulbs were in-ground while others were in large containers with fresh potting soil - all in full sun. I don't know the ph or chemical composition of my soil, so I can't guess why the color isn't as dark as the product description. I still like them, though. I moved some bulbs around in the fall and found some bulb offshoots that I replanted elsewhere. I can't wait to see if they flower and if I'll see different color tones based on their placement. In the pics, a few were crowded around some other tall lilies and I didn't like that effect, so I spaced them out more for this year. I'd recommend *not* mixing different types of tall lilies together. They crowd each other and the color contrasts are not as fun as I imagined. I did, however, put some of these bulbs next to some Globemaster Alliums to continue the flowering from early summer through mid- to late-summer."
