'Pink Lightning' Ajuga is a fast-growing groundcover with a unique look. Soft, sage green leaves are trimmed with cream edges, creating a beautiful backdrop for the bubblegum-pink flower spikes that appear in late spring. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds, 'Pink Lightning' will spread rapidly when well-watered. (Ajuga) PP#22255

Fantastic and healthy plants!

"Ajuga is one of my favorite plants, and American Meadows has varieties I am unable to find where I live. This was my first order with them, and I am amazed with not only the quality of the plants but also the care taken in packaging the plants for shipment. I’ve ordered live plants from other providers, and they did not arrive this healthy nor packaged as well. All 16 of my plants arrived alive and healthy. Thank you American Meadows!"

extremely well packaged and healthy plants

"PInk Lightning ajuga is a nice spreading (non-invasive) ground cover that thrives in sun or shade. It does best and keeps is creamy white edges if it gets some direct sunlight. It is the only ajuga with pink flowers. I've grown it for years and have never had any insect or other problems with it. It should be a mainstay in any garden. Every plant I received from American Meadows was extremely healthy and transplanted beautifully."

Lovely Ajuga!

"This was easy to plant in the wooded area where I needed some ground cover. It's been healthy and flowered up this spring. I'm very happy with these plants."

Our bees love it!

"So pretty between other perennials as a ground cover. Would definitely purchase more. The bees like this."

I like trying something new

"I have this in a pot by the pool where it gets morning sun only. I'm always happy when something looks nice and lives with little care. It survived the Tampa summer so I'm optimistic that once the summer heat breaks, it will thrive and hopefully bloom."

perfect plant for problem area

"Plants survived cold New England winter of 2014. Is deer-resistant. Attractive foliage and bloom. Thriving under a large red maple tree despite poor soil condition, shade and competition with tree roots."

AJUGA PINK LIGHTNING

"It is beautiful in my garden. It does seem to spread slowly. I love it."

Pam (5/5)

ideal ground cover under red maple tree

"This is my second year of ordering the Ajuga Pink Lightning. Last year's plants survived the harsh New England winter and are thriving. I purchased five more plants to fill in the area under the large red maple tree in my front yard. This is the ideal plant to compliment the variegated Bishop's weed which I planted in this area."
