"Looked fine upon arrival. . . planted as directed. . . mulched well. . . followed care instructions. . . both died. . . not sure why. . . leaves turned brown."
"I use these around a doorway arch on a log home abd the cokor is just right"

"Arrived well packaged and healthy. Had one bloom right away. IOur temps have been 110-118 for the summer so this is struggling. It gets a lot of shade and I have blocks over the roots. It is watered every day. There is new growth showing and I have hopes of it making it through the winter. Arizona is a tough area to plant the kind of things I like but I keep trying :-)"
"I actually researched the Nelly Moser Clematis because they are my mother-in laws favorite and it has been hard to find locally. The plants arrived very healthy looking. They have been growing a few feet and dying, then they start growing again. I have moved them from a near full sun spot (about 6 hours a day)to a partial sun area (maybe 2 hours of direct sun)and I have covered the roots and soil to provide some extra shade protection for them. They are growing again but do not seem to be producing any flowers; and giving the lateness in the season I do not have high expectations. I do have high hopes that they will produce next year after being established. Mother-in-law is having great luck with the vining and she has had a few small flowers. She has helped me relocate mine and protect them from the heat we get here. Now I just have to be patient. They should be show stoppers next year. With all that said, American Meadows has been the best online nursery that I have used in a very long time. Their plants are well packaged and healthy. The customer support is very friendly and have been extremely helpful."
"It wasn't ready to bloom this year, but it looks healthy. Nice fall color leaves."
"Got my Nelly Moser 3 years ago from American Meadows. First year it was shy - few if any flowers, but the next 2 Junes have been knock-outs - big, bushy vine with lots of flowers. Haven't had to do anything but prune it back in the Fall, and provide a little string to help guide it in early Spring (took about 2 minutes to tie it up once it started climbing. If there's any pink in the flower it is far more delicate pink center than pictured - most of the blooms are solid white. (picture below is from first day of bloom - June 1 in SE PA - it will have a LOT more in the days to come)"
"I place this next to my Mailbox where it is able to climb. Beautiful Large flowers"
Nelly Moser is one of the clematis that everybody wants. And no wonder. The bi-color flowers can reach a whopping 6-8 inches across. I've grown it, and can tell you it never disappoints. As another bonus, Nelly Moser offers two blooming seasons: spring and fall.
This old reliable classic clematis was introduced in France in 1897, and has really never been topped. Who introduced it? Mr. Moser, of course.
Nelly Moser is a type 2 Clematis. Clematis in this group produce flowers from both the prior year's growth and the current seasons. The best time to prune them is in early spring.
