In late spring to early summer, this hardy perennial transforms garden edges, woodland paths, and shady nooks into glowing green-gold scenes straight from a storybook. Dewdrops collect on its rounded foliage like tiny jewels, adding a touch of everyday magic to morning garden strolls. It’s a luminous companion plant that brightens borders and softens bold plantings with effortless charm.
This cultivar is especially prized for its larger, fuller flower sprays and vigorous growth habit compared to the species—making it a standout in cottage gardens, pollinator-friendly plantings, and meadow-inspired designs. It spreads gradually by rhizomes and may reseed in ideal conditions; simply trim spent blooms after flowering to keep things tidy and encourage a neat appearance.
