A stunning variety, 'Ellagance Snow' English Lavender has masses of beautiful white flower spikes above lovely grey-green foliage. Sweetly scented, it attracts bees and butterflies while discouraging deer and rabbits. This award-winning variety’s compact form and abundant flowers make it an ideal addition to a small space, rock garden, border, or container. (Lavandula angustifolia)
'Ellagance Snow' English Lavender blooms with fragrant white blossoms from early to late summer, a welcome addition to a rock garden, border, or container. At 12-16" tall, 'Ellagance Snow' is a perfect fit for small spaces and complements well with other small lavenders such as Blue Spear. A pollinator favorite, deer and rabbits avoid it thanks to its fragrant essential oils. Winner of the European Fleuroselect Gold Medal in 2006. Plant in full sun in average soil with good drainage. Lavender won’t tolerate soggy roots, so be sure you have soil that drains well. It prefers dry to average moisture levels and is drought tolerant once established. Cut back spent flowers once flowering has finished in late summer and trim about an inch of foliage to keep shrubs compact and full. Lavender is toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.

"I went on the search to find white lavender for my garden, hoping that this beautiful plant - that likes dry conditions - would do well in our hot, humid zone 7a. I planted Ellagance in my pebbled walkway, full sun all day, and it is thriving! I love its compact size. I placed it in front of 'Platinum Blonde' and it looks so lovely!"

Petite but stunning Lavender
"I acquired this plant at the end of the season, not sure that a Lavender plant would do well in my garden. I have sandy soil, which is a plus, but I planted this Lavender at the beginning of November, in zone 5, a couple of days before it snowed. To say that it was doomed is an understatement. To my surprise, it returned in the spring, and I was overjoyed. We are now on the second full spring of having it in our garden, and it has finally bloomed! The Lavender is very low growing, but it has continued to spread since we have had it. The white blossoms are very unique and add an elegant touch to the garden. A bonus that the pollinators love it! Totally would recommend this! The fact that it is still doing so well two years later, after its questionable start, is a testament to the hardiness of this plant."

It ded
"This lavender may be more finicky than actual purple lavender. I'm not sure if it exists in nature. Anyway, the area I am in only is tolerated by English lavender. I got this thinking it would be okay but it was kind of hot when I planted it. I possibly should have given it some time in my house to grow a bit bigger but I was worried that if I didn't plant it right away it would die since it was already kind of wilted. It died like in the next day or two. I'd try again but it's a bit much to throw away 10 dollars or so."

Very small
"I was happy to find a in stock lavender that was white! But I was surprised how small the plants were when they arrived. I know it said it was a 3" pot, but these didn't even take up most of the pot and were 1 to 2 inches high. The smallest one has already died and it's only been a few weeks. To be fair I think someone who came to look at the irrigation stepped on it (because it was barely visible). You can get a 10x larger plant for half the price elsewhere, but I guess this is the price of a less common type of lavender. The others are still alive so I hope they grow soon."

Not very resilient
"I was happy to find a couple of white lavender plants because I've been searching for years, even though they only came in a package with blue (which I did not want or need). The white looked sickly upon arrival, and they have died. Ironically, the small blue ones are doing fine. But I have an all-white garden, so they are growing in my neighbor's yard."
