'Gallery Red' is a compact plant that stuns with tapered, crimson red spires covered in tightly-packed, pea-shaped blooms. Ignored by deer and adored by butterflies, bumble bees and hummingbirds, 'Gallery Red' blooms in the earlier half of the season. Popular in bouquets and very cold hardy. (Lupinus)

Beautiful small lupine

"This lupine took off running almost as soon as I planted it. It is healthy, happy in full sun and has bloomed constantly with deadheading. Now into September and still two flower stalks."

Mine died

"Sadly mine died a couple of weeks after planting. I planted it in an ideal location as well. It was very healthy when it arrived so maybe something to do with my soil here in coastal NC"

Love Lupines

"I have always loved lupines ever since seeing acres of them wild inNova Scotia. I planted this little one in a perennial garden, but it doesn't seem to be doing well. Perhaps it is too warm here?"

Healthy Plant

"The plants are healthy and grew during the summer but did not bloom. I am hoping that they will bloom next year."

They really did come on time

"Last Fall I purchased three Lupine Gallery Red plants on sale for a remarkably low price, which were promised to be sent in the spring at a time appropriate for the area I live in (western New York). After thinking and planning about my gardens through the cold and snowy winter I've recently begun cleaning out and preparing my gardens. Yesterday arrived my Lupine plants! Nicely packaed with care, and plants peeking out of the box (they seem to be nearly a foot tall, nicely green and healthy looking). This weekend I'll plant them in my patio garden (I live in a townhouse so all I have is a patio garden)and I'll also try one of the plants in a large container pot I purchased. I am sooo excited!"

Totally satisfied

"First of all, I was blown away by the packaging. I know that has nothing to do with the contents but sending flowers can be a nightmare. Really trick packaging with a full color picture on each compartment so no guess work when I go to plant. The red lupines I ordered came in fresh and alive, no wilted leaves and they looked really healthy. So all in all, the entire order was a pleasing experience. I simply can't wait to get them in the ground tomorrow. Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely!"
