How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
About the Sedums: These perennial plants enjoy gritty, fast-draining soil, and must have full hot sun. They are really desert plants, so give them sharp drainage. (Sedums are often called Succulents, due to their thickened moisture-retentive leaves, and yes, the short ones include the famous Hen and Chicks from grandmothers garden.)
Once sedums are established, you've assured yourself of loads of perennial interest for the later months when most garden flowers are gone.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"These came looking really bad. Went ahead and planted them. They are now almost dead. We took special care for them and we are very disappointed. Already took pictures to show you and just got the run around. They wanted me to dig them up so I could show you the roots were bad. Horrible customer service."
"This was rotted at the crown, didn't survive planting."
"Using it to cover a bare spot in my border. Plants were small but are growing well."
"Planted at the edge of my border and though the plant is still quite small (3 stems, each 4-5") I love the hot pink flowers at end of each stalk. I am going to mulch this plant extra well and hope it survives to spring and comes back stronger next season."
"So pretty and unique to look at. It has started blooming about 2-3 weeks ago and looks even better today. I wish I would have gotten more of them."
"So far, I'm very pleased. The young plant is covered in buds, and promises to be a good show. Looking forward (August is a little early in Chicago for many sedums to bloom)."
"This sedum arrived looking like it had been beat up somewhere. I planted them anyway, and with a lot of nurturing I can say that they're thriving, barely. They are very small, as if grown from seed."
"This plant is both fragile and hardy. It had a hard time with shipping, and arrived broken. But due to its nature you can end up with a new plant from the snapped portion. I put this in a very sunny dry location. I barely pay attention to it and it does wonderful. The purple flowers this fall were lovely and did a great job supporting our local bees."
"The flower is very sturdy. It diesn't flop over like some sedums. The color is dark wine. Very attractive in a mixed flower bed."
"See my service/delivery comments. These have survived but they are still small and blooms are teeny. They had a hard start in life so I'm hoping for better things next year."
