This perennial wildflower prefers sunny or partially sunny areas with moist soil. Flowers will bloom in early to mid summer and will only last for about three weeks. These feathery pink blooms are worth the wait!This species may be difficult and/or slow to germinate and grow to maturity. Queen Of The Prairie seeds require a period of cold and moisture in order to break out of dormancy. When planted outside in the Fall they will naturally receive this treatment.

"I put the seeds on a damp paper towel, placed them in a baggy, and put in my fridge from March to early June. Planted them in a small bed, kept moist, and all seeds germinated. I got the seeds in the ground a bit late perhaps so it will be interesting to see how far they get til fall."
