Great quality. Healthy tubers, guaranteed
"Great quality. Healthy tubers, guaranteed sprouts. Never fails. Gorgeous blooms!!"
For dark drama in the garden and bouquets, 'Arabian Night' is it!
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"Great quality. Healthy tubers, guaranteed sprouts. Never fails. Gorgeous blooms!!"
"I planted this two years ago and this is the first flush pf flowers. It surely took all the time in the world but I am pleased."
"These are gorgeous!!! Very easy to grow and wonderful cut flowers — I've had plenty all summer. The color is even more beautiful and deep than the photos. Definitely stake them as they get very tall."
"These Arabian Night dahlias were a very deep color, even looking almost black. They were very small and bloomed once then the bush never gave me anymore blooms. I would have loved for them to keep blooming. I put them in my local dahlia exhibit for my local fair and they did not place. I would say they were about 3 inches across and the foliage had speckles on it. The plant never got taller than about a foot and a half. They other species of dahlias surrounding them did not also have these speckles. I would recommend them if you liked them very dark and small, but they are not ball types (not that I was expecting them to be)."
"These are some of my favorite flowers in the garden. Everyone who comes over complements them. They grew quickly and are covered in 3 inch flowers. I average 20 flowers per plant. The flowers are different heights and look great in a small group. I only had 2 out of the 3 tubers grow but I might have nicked the bud on planting."
"2 tubers = 2 great plants with lots of flowers. True to description."
"As a first-time home owner, I was very excited to plant my first garden that didn't exist in pots on a balcony! I've always liked dahlias and was looking forward to growing them. The bulbs came in great condition with easy-to-understand instructions. It seems like it took them FOREVER to grow and blossom. Yet when they finally did-- WOW! My neighbors are always complimenting me on them. I love the deep-red color, because there is nothing like it in any of my neighbors' gardens and it really looks exotic. The only downfalls are that they are flimsy/top-heavy (I had been forewarned, so I staked them) and they always seem dry, despite watering. This dryness also makes them a poor cut flower--they only last for one day before they shrivel up and fall apart. Aside from these issues, I have enjoyed growing these dahlias. Now that I know that I CAN grow some flowers, I can't wait to plan next year's garden (dahlias included)!"
