How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"Ordered multiple kinds of tubers, including Lavender Perfection. Tuber clumps came with broken necks, and some didn't even have eyes. Only had two viable tubers out of my package of 12. Will not be ordering again."
"These dahlias were stunning. The size and color was fabulous. They were easy maintenance and stole the show in my garden."
"No flowers yet , but alot of buds on the way"
"Beautiful, hardy blooms"
"This dahlia is so pretty. Definitely one of my favorites. It's a little more pink than lavender but it's beautiful!"
"Used in front of backyard patio."
"This was my first year planting any dahlia tubers. These beautiful lavender dahlias took awhile to bloom however when they did they were fabulous! These definitely need staking as many of mine fell over ending with crooked stems. I was not able to get any formal flowers for this as I needed them for my local fair, however I was very impressed with their huge size. Will definitely plant again next year. I wish I had pictures to show how beautiful they came out."
"I received this as a gift last year and it is my first time growing Dalia. They truly bloomed from mid-summer til frost. Each plant was loaded with flowers last year. This spring I wasn't so sure if I did everything right and if they will come back since they looked really dry after the winter. But they did!! Every single one! Hasn't bloom yet. But I am so looking forward to it. They are not as lavender color as it shows on the picture. They are purple-pinkish and a lot darder. But the bottom line is they are still pretty and works for me."
