"The flowers I've gotten so far have been gorgeous and massive! The star of my summer bouquets. But of the 3 tubers I planted, only 2 sprouted, and only one is a healthy, vigorous, richly green plant. That's why she gets 4 stars."
"I thought this rain soaked hot summer destroyed our dahlias but I was greeted but some beautiful large blooms today in a stunning saturated wine toned purple. Some blooms are solid and some have tonal mottling that is so unique. All in all very happy with these!"
"Plants are still producing some flowers in late August. They were never "dinner-plate" size, but closer to 5 inches across. I'll plant them again. Tough to find Dahlias that really do well in zone 10."
"This dahlia is gorgeous. Beautiful color and form"
"Lovely shades color pointed petals."
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
