Description
Go big with 'Belle of Barmera' Dahlia! Large, double flowers are 8-10 inches wide, and the pink petals betray just the slightest hint of peachy-salmon when the light catches them. Grow these summer bloomers in a cut flower garden, an effusive summer border, or in a bed devoted to the wonders of Dahlias. At 4 ft. tall with strong stems, 'Belle of Barmera' Dinner Plate Dahlia will be a great mid-size addition to your collection!
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
