Description
(48-60’’ tall x 24” wide) Grow Bodacious Dinner Plate Dahlia for summer bouquets, back-of-border drama, or by your front door just to make you smile! The exquisite double blooms are 9-11” wide and will not only astonish you with their dinner plate size, but with their fiery color combination. Red petals are enhanced by yellow undersides that grow more visible as the blossoms age. Like all dahlias, ‘Bodacious’ prefers a fun sun site and regular moisture. 4-5’ flowering stems are strong, but protection from high winds is recommended. Light staking is recommended if you are not growing them densely with other plants or if they’re planted in an exposed location. Cut them for gorgeous indoor displays or just let Bodacious Dahlia enhance your garden with style and wow-factor. If growing north of Zone 8, lift tubers in fall and store in a cool, frost-free location for the winter.
