Description

Our Lively Butterfly Meadow Native Pre-Planned Garden was designed with all four seasons in mind. A mix of North American Native species and nativars will attract a parade of pollinators, including native bees, honeybees, and butterflies. There will be flowers in bloom from spring all the way to fall for a consistent source of nectar and pollen. Grasses provide airy texture and movement, catching the afternoon light. Leave grasses and dried flowers standing over the fall and winter, as they’ll provide habitat for pollinators and food for birds. Plus, their sculptural forms will add visual interest over the winter months.

"I ordered this preplanned garden late last summer for fall planting and all of the plants arrived healthy. I worked hard to get it in the ground quickly and as the explanatory layout recommended. We had a particularly cold and snowy winter in North Eastern Kansas, so I was unsure how the plants would weather their first winter in the ground. But this spring, they all came up beautifully! I can't wait to see how they grow through the summer and the next years! I am so grateful for the preplanned garden, as I'm new to native gardening. The layout and instructions made it so easy!"

Over all happy

"Overall, I'm happy with the garden. The directions were clear, and the plants are growing. I took off a star because the helenium is not attracting the pollinators. The bees love the aster that sits right next to it, and none of them will touch the helenium. That's a problem for me because the garden is supposed to be a "magnet" for pollinators. I don't know if the problem is that the Mariachi Siesta helenuum is a cultivar rather than a straight species. I might replace it next year."
