This proven mixture offers full flower color and a great spread of species for places with little rainfall, or those areas that are difficult to water. Like any seed, this drought-tolerant mix requires moisture to sprout, but is quite self-sufficient once growth begins.

"The variety is awesome. I can't wait till next year to see how many more flowers have self seeded."
"The seeds from American Meadow did not bloom. I followed the instructions on the package. Watered regularly as instructed and nothing happened. It was a huge amount of effort with very disappointing results. Next year I will try local seed to see if it works better. I had the similar results with some grass seed I purchased from American Meadow."
"We live in a high rise very near NYC and are on a resident committee that advises and volunteers on the landscaping. We needed something to quickly replace the dead grasses planted by a previous landscaper on our 8th floor pool deck and streetlevel beds. Also our irrigation system was broken so water was not a given. After long research, we fall seeded the beds with this mix. Since we are really close to the waterfront and there's a strong wind tunnel on the 8th floor especially, the seeds probably were likely blown away. At any rate, we reseeded some again after the last frost date in late April. Wherever there is good sun, they are coming up beautifully. Lush, colorful, prolific. There are some bald patches (as I said the wind blew many seeds away), which we will scratch and reseed next spring. We will wait to see how many annuals reseed themselves, etc. Very happy with the product! Love the variety so far (been about a month since they really started to bloom). Baby's breath, several poppies, bachelor's buttons and now coreopsis, soon cosmos. Have patience though! They looked really tiny and weedy and stayed that way for many weeks until it got warm enough. I impatiently kept watering them thinking they didn't have enough water, but my guess is they were waiting for longer and warmer days."
"I bought this last year and it was great. This year however there were too many blue cornflowers. They look very straggly and not so pretty. I was disappointed. Hardly any red poppies or California poppies. I sent it to many friends and they were all disappointed. I hope next year the will improve the mix and leave out some of the boring cornflowers"
"I planted this wildflower mix in Utah and got amazing results! The flowers are beautiful, and I was able to enjoy blooms in my front yard from spring to fall. The planting instructions are super helpful!"
"I decide to turn some of my two-acre lawn to wildflowers here in Southern New Hampshire. I have always had trouble watering the lawn in question because it is full sun all day and very dry. I found the Eastern Dry Meadow Wildflower Seed Mix which seemed to be a good fit. In the late fall, I used a tractor with a tiller to expose as much soil as possible and breaking up the grass. I spread the recommended amount of wildflower over the space using the measurements for the specific seed mix. I then waited. . . We had a very rainy spring in 2023 so I did not have to water. So far, I found purple cornflowers, followed by black-eyed Susan's, and then cosmos. I am still waiting for next year for any established perennials to flower, my understanding is they flower in the second year. So far, the wildflower meadow looks fantastic."
"This is my second order of seeds from American Meadows and this seed mix is performing beautifully. I cut back a large section (about 40' x 20') of intruding growth (unfortunately, much invasive species brush) and made this area into a pollinator pathway with this mix, as was my intention. I followed the seeding and watering instructions as given and as promised, I had germination in 2 weeks and a beautiful wildflower patch within weeks. I plan to re-do another large swath in my yard with a different seed mix in the spring. American Meadows offers such a great variety of seed mixes, it will be hard for me to pick which one!"
"I mixed this eastern dry mix with a deer resistant mix to have lots of variety. The zinnias in the other mix took over and I had very few sightings of anything in this mix. Maybe next year some perennials of this mix will appear."
"We add the wildflowers to fill in an area instead of sod. Our neighbors were initially suspicious of "the weeds", but once the flowers started blooming, several neighbors are planning on incorporating wildflowers areas in their landscaping."
"Non of the sun flower seeds grew but in my soil they never grow 🫤"
